According to the Secretary of State, James Brokenshire, the latest updates to the NPPF (National Planning Policy Framework), introduced on 24th July 2018, should encourage “better-designed homes in areas where they are needed.” Aimed at giving communities more control over local developments the rules represent the most substantial revision to policy for six years.
