We welcome projects of all sizes and in all sectors, from large-scale developer residential schemes to bespoke listed building restorations. Here is a selection of our most recent projects.
Creative, practical design tailored to your brief, taking projects from concept to completion. We manage all RIBA stages 0 to 7, including concept and detailed design, planning applications, building regulation drawings, tender sets, construction and contract administration, through to completion and handover.
Many clients choose selected stages only, for example planning applications or technical drawing packages.
RRA has extensive experience in this area, offering clear, early advice on a site or a building’s potential, value and constraints for homeowners, developers, landowners and community groups.
We review planning policy, access, services and buildability, then outline viability, appropriate options and budget guides to inform next steps and best practice.
Smart upgrades that make life easier.
We focus on improving flow and function, tailoring spaces to suit your requirements. That could mean remodelling a layout, opening up rooms or adding clever new zones.
Typical projects include rear and side extensions, lofts and basements, garden studios, annexes and garages. We also remodel interiors, design micro homes and holiday lets, and create outdoor kitchens or garden rooms that add value and everyday enjoyment.
We offer sensitive conservation and adaptive reuse of listed buildings, heritage assets and scheduled ancient monuments, such as market houses.
We are experienced in church reordering, and our projects include an RIBA award-winning scheme at All Saints Church, Hereford, which set the benchmark for modern reordering.
RRA Architects has always practiced energy-aware design as standard.
Our fabric first approach prioritises passive measures such as solar gain, airtightness, efficient insulation and responsible material choices for long term energy savings and minimal environmental impact. Such improvements often add little or no cost while reducing energy use.

RRA helped us turn our basic ideas into detailed plans with improvements we would never have thought of ourselves. The level of service continued to be highly responsive throughout the project, with flexibility to have meetings in the evening after work. Would highly recommend!

Mark and Tom were a pleasure to work with, taking the time to fully understand our requirements, the issues we were seeking to address and propose options for us to consider and select for more detailed development. They guided us through the myriad planning and approvals process and were responsive to any questions we had as the project evolved. We’re delighted with how the chosen design has transformed the front of our property both aesthetically and practically.

We have worked with various architects over the years, however, Mark and the team at RRA are by far the most professional practice we have found. They have been involved in a number of projects with us and they offer an outstanding service from planning, through to the design stage and completion. Highly recommended!
