RRA Architects had the privilege of joining hundreds of guests at Lyde Arundel, Hereford, for The Little Princess Trust’s 20th Anniversary Charity Ball. As long-time supporters of this amazing charity, we were proud to be part of an unforgettable evening celebrating the trust’s two decades of giving Hair and Hope to children and young people with cancer. The night was both a joyous celebration and a touching reminder of the impactful work The Little Princess Trust does in our community and beyond.

The soulful voices of the Hereford Soul Choir greeted guests along with bubbles and cocktails as they arrived getting everyone in the spirit straight away. Festivities kicked off with a lively game of Heads or Tails that had the entire room on their feet, RRA Architects was delighted to sponsor the prize for this, a wheelbarrow full of booze.

The entertainment was non-stop; celebrity stylist Andrew Barton cut the hair of TV personality, two times winner of Dancing on Ice and Disney Princess, Alex Murphy, live on stage, in front of a packed room and 4,000 online viewers. Then we were treated to incredible performances from the Hereford Academy of Dance and a real surprise from the Silver Service Singers, undercover waiters who had the whole room clapping and singing along. A fast-paced charity auction helped raise even more funds and then The Heyyahs took the stage for the after-party and filled the dance floor until late.

The Little Princess Trust was founded in 2005 in memory of five-year-old Hannah Tarplee who sadly lost her battle with cancer. Since then, the trust has provided over 20,000 real-hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or other illnesses. Alongside this, the trust is also the second-largest charity funder of childhood cancer research in the UK, having invested over £30 million in projects to date.

RRA Architects has been honoured to work alongside The Little Princess Trust on key projects over the years. We were proud to design The Hannah Tarplee Building, the charity’s Hereford headquarters, which opened in 2021. We are now supporting the design of a new storage and logistics facility to support LPT’s continued growth.

Huge thanks to Phil Brace and his team and each and every one of the people who made this amazing night unforgettable, including Wagamama for the delicious feast and Lyde Arundel for the stunning venue. As one of the sponsors RRA Architects was in good company with Hereford Academy of Dance, Wella Company, Ducketts Trusted Advisors, CW Garden Marquees, In the Booth, Aderans UK, Sally and Tony’s Chocolonely.

Congratulations to The Little Princess Trust on 20 amazing years. Here’s to the next 20 🥂
